The Paradigm of Misspelling

This a lovely place where everything is misspelled and everyone frolicks in fields of pretty flowers! Or not...

So I feel like this journal is about nothing but my car troubles. Today I called AAA. Because my car would not start. Again. Kudos to Kelly for staying with me and Christine and Steve for trying.

Luckily, I did it by means of miracle. w00t.

Practice wasn't good because Steve Ballard is not good at handling us. Not that I think he should have to adapt to us, I just think that he needs to be more patient. Mainly because Jon has been doing as much as he can and he's only gotten us this far.

Watched Star Trek. "In the Cards" was awesome due to Jake's total obsession and Nog's having to put up with it. teehee.

So, got another e-mail from Adi. I don't think he should try signing things anymore because, like Spock, he just doesn't quite have to knack of it. Luckily for me I know he doesn't mean anything by it.

If you have no idea who Adi is or what I'm talking about, you're just going to have to wait for my Japan report, which will be finished by the beginning of school due to Sensei wanting it...

And that is all.

Lions and Geigers and Bears.

Oh my.

So, it seems I forgot to talk about the band camp dances. Let's summarize it like this:

Kelly: I danced with five people tonight!
Me: I think I've danced with five people total. No, wait, make that four.

The first dance was spent making cynical comments with Amanda. We had an especially interesting version of "I'm a Believer." I actually was almost enjoying myself, most likely because I accepted that I had to be there, but was under no pressure to dance, so I could sing if I wanted to, or watch, or talk. Maybe not awesome, but still one of the best. Also, I could make excuses about requests. Which leads me to the second dance.

The second dance was mainly horrible. This was because everyone wanted their song played NOW. I need a shotgun. Or maybe some clear plastic walls, that way when people try to get my attention I can just make the "I can't hear" you noise.

Or course, none of this is helped by the fact that Duty's computer is freaky and randomly does stuff. So, I had to start All Star times. Also, there was a point in time where nobody liked four or five of the songs, so we had to fade out. I was worried we wouldn't make it, but we did. The only good thing to come out of this dance was the fact that I got some things ironed out, and now things are much better. Also, Beth joined us and gave us glow sticks. 'twas cool.

*****

Yesterday I woke up when I was supposed to leave. I rushed, and made it on time. The problem? I had no money, no food, and no gas. So Daddy had to bail me out. Practice wasn't productive for us at all, but at least we were playing it. I'm not looking forward to Monday. Nine run throughs, d00d! This is because we have nine playing tests and each one is done as a run through so we have all our cues.

I listened to El Tiburon for at least a hour, if not two, straight last night. This is because it was the only song on my computer. Pity me.

*****

I have nothing witty or insightful to say, which is a dissappointment. Therefore I will go.

So I just came back from the most depressing band camp ever. Whatever Junior year was, this was SO MUCH WORSE. But I think I'll get to that later (if at all). First, the week.

Sunday: Went to Mass at 7:30, then headed off to TJ. Loaded stuff and junk. Got on bus and sat by Christine. Spent majority of the ride sitting there in silence. Walkman batteries dying due to lack of hold button, so didn't even have that. Stayed in Senior house (Williamsburg) next to Nurses. The thing I forgot this year: WRITING UTENSIL. *Chekov voice* Oh no! Played some junk. woo.

Monday: Played stuff. Ate. Slept.

Actually, seeing as this was basically my week, let's just put in the highlights.

Senior Prank: Made people wake up at 5:30 and think it was 7:30. Except it wasn't very widespread. Oh well.

Diet coke break: d00d. We are awesome. I pulled a Nick, and we decorated them. We even put up Steve's hair. Looks like Kelly is going to be a lot like me in years to come, though... Sold DJ. Perfumed them. Sparkled them. They were beautiful.

Other days: We did thing with water gun fight. Pictionary with people (Kirby the plant). Ate popsicles.

Pranked them with streamers and stuff and left them gifts. But we didn't hold a candle to Gilene. We were much better than '04, though. But that's not entirely their fault.

Jon was obsessed with movies. Enter the shark movie and Van Dam. Therefore we watched WRATH OF KHAN and UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY. This led to the following quotes:

"I can't!"
"Revenge is a dish best served cold..."
"Botany bay. Botany Bay? Oh no!"
"KHAN!"
"Fire!"

Also:
"Griffin, you're dead. You're DEAD!"
*shoots self in head w/ fingers, blood from nose wih fingers, finger scrolls up* "Credits" Dananaaa...

And Yoga. Lots of Yoga.

Therefore the pit skit was us doing the Wrath of Khan. So cool. Mrs. Grafton thought it was cute. I died dramatically. Oh man.

The Senior boys had to sing the Weenie Wife song because had their switch hostage. Many did yatta (I was surprised), but they messed up the dance.

Speaking of dances, Christine and I are good DJs. But we have SO MANY technical difficulties, we look incompetent. And many of them weren't out fault. *sigh* Good luck, Duty.

So, I have a music test in the morning. I need to get up early and practice, I suppose, because I still don't have that part in the closer down, although it is memorized, which counts, yes? Yes.

And that is all for it is late.

SUNTORY BOSS is the boss of them all since 1992.

WHOA! In Kyoto. For the mentally challenged ones, this is in JAPAN. ....Yes.

As crazy as it sounds I want to go to marching band practice because I feel like I am missing out.

Also, Mr. Suda is shady.

Look forward to a report when I return home.

Also, Andy is a bum. If you have no idea what I mean, then obviuously your sister is a weak link.

Jaa.
